Australian Colostrum from Pasture-Raised Dairy Cows
Australian dairy cows graze on open green pastures and are free to roam in their natural environment. After giving birth, a cow produces approximately 8 to 10 litres of colostrum during the first 24 hours.
The first five litres are reserved for the newborn calf. Only the remaining unused colostrum is collected for production, helping ensure the calf receives its essential first nutrition before any surplus is used.
Carefully Collected and Processed
The surplus whole colostrum is collected in sterilised stainless-steel tanks and stored at low temperatures to maintain freshness. It is then flash-pasteurised at 72°C for 15 seconds before being freeze-dried into a concentrated powder.
This process creates a shelf-stable ingredient while retaining the natural characteristics of the original colostrum, including its proteins, immunoglobulins, vitamins, minerals and enzymes.
