Made from the suet of free to roam, grass-fed animals this fat is much harder than all other Tassie Tallow fats. It is rich in fat soluble vitamins and one of the best sources of CLA- conjugated linoloic acid It has a very high melting point and it the absolute perfect fat for deep frying.

This is Tassie Tallow's first and foremost important product. A gold medal winner at the Royal Hobart Show 2018, this premium tallow is sourced from the suet of free to roam, grass-fed animals reared on Tasmanian soils. You'll find this fat is firm but silky, adding an amazing scent and flavour to your dishes. It has a very high melting point and awesome for searing meat and is an ideal fat for deep frying foods in due to its high smoke point of approx. 200 degrees. Tassie Tallow are super happy to offer this awesome Tasmanian product for all sorts of use, from cooking in your home or commercial kitchen, to using it in your skincare products.

The spare 1% is the process refining the fat.

Shelf life:

Approx. 12 months at room temperature.

Keep in a cool & dry place preferably.

Note: Beef fat can basically keep indefinitely if uncontaminated by food or water.

As you may be aware the trans-Australian rail line has been cut due to severe flooding. This is obvously outsde of our control
